Football Federation SA’s two girls squads competing in Coffs Harbour last week at the 2017 FFA Westfield National Youth Championships turned in some fine performances throughout the week to compete on an even keen with the best young stars around Australia.

Our Under 14 squad were narrowly defeated throughout the week but picked up a point against third-placed Northern NSW to finish in fifth place in Group A overall.

Our Under 15’s finished 7th out of 9 teams but were well clear of 8th placed Tasmania and 9th NSW Country. Just two wins seperated this team from finishing second overall in what was a closely fought competition all week long. The highlight for this squad was a 6-0 win over Tasmania and 2-0 win over overall second-placed winner, Western Australia.

Congratulations to all girls and coaches who represented South Australia throughout the week whilst South Australian Paula Orlandi, was recognised for her fine tournament and awarded Referee of the Championships. Well done, Paula!
