Represented South Australia on 21 occasions as a player between 1975 and 1980, South Australian Sports Star of the year in 1976 and was Adelaide United FC inaugural coach in 2003

Represented Australia as a player and South Australia as a player and coach, also holds the record for the most number of games played for South Australia, 66 also played 279 games for USC Lion SC, 446 games for Adelaide City SC of which 300 were NSL and 50 games for White City SC

Represented Australia as a player including World Cup Qualifying games in 1969 and represented South Australia on 43 occasions. Played 127 NSL games for Adelaide City between 1977 and 1982 and was NSL Coach of the Year 1995/96
