United FC
Thursday 13th April 2006
The
Football Federation South Australia (FFSA) has announced that Adelaide
United FC will sponsor the FFSA Club Championship Cup in 2006.
The Adelaide United FFSA Cup will be the premier cup competition in
South Australia, involving clubs from Super, Premier, State, Amateur and
country leagues.
With the restructure of the FFSA Senior Men’s Competition already
providing a resurgence of interest in soccer, and Adelaide United’s
success in the inaugural Hyundai A League competition, this partnership
is sure to generate keen competition for the prize money.
FFSA Chief Executive, Allison Miller was delighted to announce the
sponsorship. “Many of our young talented players aspire to playing in
the A League, and this partnership shows how much Adelaide United FC
values the support of our local clubs”.
Adelaide United Football Club Chairman Dario Fontanarosa said “ we are
more than happy to be sponsor of the Federation Cup which is an
institution in South Australian Football, and hopefully there will be
young players in the local leagues wearing the Reds shirt in the near
future”
The first four games in the Adelaide United FFSA Cup kick off on Easter
Monday, and include Amateur and state league clubs |
