The Men's competition was a fairly even match up for all teams, with the top 2 from each group advancing into the quarter finals. 2017 finalists Liberia and DR Congo were unable to repeat the same form they poised last year and had to settle for a 3rd place playoff. Liberia were able to overcome DR Congo yet again, winning 4-3 to secure 3rd spot. DR Congo's Shomari Sabatho topped the leading goal scorer of the men's competition, netting 8 goals in 7 matches.

The battle for the Men's final saw Sierra Leone and Guinea face-off, with both sides finishing 2nd in their groups respectively. However, it was Sierra Leone who got the upper the hand over Guinea in the final, winning 3-0 this Monday evening to own the title of 2018 RAA African Nation Cup winners.
