Football Federation SA is saddened to hear the passing of one of its Hall of Fame members and W.T Birkalla life member, Jack Smith.
John, commonly known as Jack, has been a big part of the Birkalla family for over 75 years as a player, committee and life member.
Inducted into the FFSA Hall of Fame in 2006 for his contribution to football in South Australia, Jack was also the first South Australian to play for the national side.
Jack passed away on Friday, 16th November surrounded by his loving family.
Football Federation SA extends its condolences to Jack's family, along with the W.T Birkalla football community.
His funeral details will be announced in the coming days via the club and his family.
