Football Federation SA is saddened to hear the passing of seventeen-year-old Salisbury United player, Thabo Adesodun.
A statement on the Salisbury United Facebook page read:
Salisbury United FC are saddened to hear of the passing of current player and friend Thabo. Thabo was a pleasure to have at the club, always with a smile on his face and a valuable teammate on and off the pitch.
Our sincere condolences go out to Thabo's family, friends, and teammates.
He will be truly missed xx
Thabo played at Campbelltown City in 2012 and 2013.
The seventeen-year-old also played for Eastern United for three years from 2014 to 2016. United paid tribute to him on social media claiming that "he [Thabo] could always make his friends laugh, was positive, always had a smile on his face and will be truly missed."
Thabo then joined Playford Patriots in 2017 before eventually joining Salisbury United at the beginning of this year.
Football Federation SA extends its condolences to Thabo's family, friends, and the South Australian football community.
